I turn a year older today. As I look back on the occasion of my 35th birthday, I see God has blessed me with success in life and given me strength to make it through all of its trials. Not every day has been a circus. But every mistake, failure and disappointment has made me a better man.

I am hopeful for the future. Many things do not seem to work out exactly how I plan them. I’ve learned to accept what life brings with patience and an open mind.

Friends, every day you awake is an opportunity to meet and exceed expectations. You’ve got a “light”. You should let it shine! Freedom is a precious thing to waste. You should use it every day.
