My copy of the newest Dr. Who DVDs, Doctor Who Season 1, arrived today. For the record there have been nine doctors. According to the story the doctor can only regenerate twelve times. So, the tenth and current doctor should feel honored to be part of a limited group. Let us purge from our memories the disservice an American studio did with the 1996 made-for-TV Dr. Who movie. That Doctor does not count.

The latest series brings back the levitating Daleks, introduces us to farting aliens and gives the Doctor a young female companion. I hope for a long run with brilliant scripts on the level we saw with the fourth doctor.
