I got my copy of Initial D: Street Stage for the Playstation Portable (PSP) today. It is in Japanese. Fortunately the manual is in English. I managed to play enough of it to see that it is a decent recreation of the Initial D v3 arcade game. The physics are a little off. The car in SS seems to drift more than the arcade v3 game.

I found out in the afternoon that EB and Gamestop were taking pre-orders for Sony’s Playstation 3 today. By the time I called all three of the stores in my area were out of reservations. I read that some stores only had five pre-orders available. I further read that employees were allowed to buy a reservation. So it looks like if you want a PS3 this holiday season you will have to pay the "eBay tax".
