A storm blew through here on Friday. I lost power for most of the evening. The gates on my fence were blown down. I came home to sections of the fence lying on the ground. We may get more bad weather on Wednesday.

After ten years Doctor Fun is over. This delightful Internet cartoon has entertained me since I connected to the Internet over dial-up. Fortunately, an archive of past comics is available. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I realized that I have been slacking on something that helps me manage stress: exercise. So I have returned to the gym. I noticed that this week I dropped four pounds and added three. This is what I call the “first week bounce”. It always seems to happen when I initially start losing fat and gaining muscle mass.

I noticed that my YMCA now has an adult dodgeball league. Smirk.

I have been working crazy hours. I left work tonight because, well, it was Sunday and I was stressing too much to focus. When I got home, I saw Scarlett online. We talked by phone for a bit. It helped. I felt like I was actually being social for a change. On the other hand she has a busy social life. I’m afraid that if my sexy author friend gets anymore popular, I’ll never be able to take her to dinner. Hey Mel, remember me when Alice Cooper calls, ok?

EDIT: now links to Scarlett’s blog. Eventually her work will live on draelynkhar.com.

Inspired by Haiku and the Fibonacci sequence a new form of poetry has been popping up online: Fibonacci poetry.

Well, Sunday started by losing an hour due to Daylight Savings Time. Bad weather struck my area. A man lost his life when a nearby store’s roof collapsed. I lost power for over five hours. My cable TV and Internet access are still down. I’m at work now but most of my team is out. I am not in a good mood today.
